Much ass... let me tell you... MUCH ass.
I came home to a package which was filled with Valentine's goodness! I saved it as a reward for after my run tonight - and it was a sweet reward indeed.
Not only did I get chocolate, it was gourmet chocolate, Moonstruck Spicy Dark Chocolate to be specific, AND a beaded necklace AND adorable knitting notecards AND Lorna's Laces Sock yarn in a colorway that I have been coveting since Hilari bought the exact same colorway at the The Village Yarn and Crafts in Fallbrook. *thud* Lemme just say - the woman knows how to spoil a girl.
I did share the chocolate with Mr Bird - but the yarn is MINE ALL MINE *evil cackling*
I was just informed that the "right way" to appreciate chocolate is to hold a piece against the roof of your mouth with your tongue and let it melt there. Yummy. I was JUST looking at Chuao's web site too looking at their spicy chocolate. Must be a PMS thing.
I'm back on track with Lady Eleanor - reading the directions? Highly recommended. Thanks to Heather and Jillian for the help. Speaking of Lady E...
I came home today to find my bag of Kochoran at the top of the stairs, while my dog goes bolting to hide in searing guilt, I find my hanks of Kochoran strewn about with one hank quite mangled. The others look ok and I should be able to untangle the mess of the one she played with.
Naughty doggy. Can't get mad at her though - if I wasnt good enough about keeping things that smell like bunny ass out of her reach - well - its my bad.
The bitch has excellent taste. And a cute face one can't stay mad at. Um, your dog, not the secret pal.

Mucho asso :)
I got caught not reading directions on Lady E too. I almost ran out of yarn because I was speeding along on my last skein, la di da, I don't even need to look at the pattern now, la di da, trying to decide when to do the final tier. Which I am thinking is after a set of Tiers 1 and 2. Nope. Read directions to start last tier. Look at directions right before it.
Repeat Tiers 1 and 2 X times. Then DO TIER 1 ONCE MORE. Poop. It was SO close!!
Knitter's ego will bite you in the ass every time.

I guess I was karmic-ly drawn to that sock yarn...I found one skein at my LYS and didn't see a second immediately, so I asked the LYS owner to check her inventory and she said there should be a second one, so the two of us pretty much emptied the Lorna's bin trying to find it. Then we had our eureka moment and the rest is history.
I LOVE that chocolate, and I hope you will, too. The melting/eating technique is just right for this stuff...
I'm plotting your next surprise... :)

I'm drooling over your gifts! You've got a great SP!
Whew, that was a close one with the dog and the yarn! My little evil Chihuahua tries to eat bunny yarn too. You're right, I bet it does smell like bunny ass to them. Must be tasty!

What? Yarn shop in Fallbrook? Hey, that's not so far.... I got a big, huge bag of Angora fiber in the mail the other day, and it's been sniff central when the cats get near it. I had to put it up, I was afraid they'd tear it open.

Wow! What a great Secret Pal you've got!!!
I've got two dogs PLUS one cat that LOVE to play with my yarn. I've come home several times to find it wrapped around the legs of all furniture in every room of the house -- NOT FUN to untangle and rewind, let me tell you!

Man, I get so jealous of these secret pals. I want to join only for the gifts, but then I have to buy gifts too! Why can't there be Kim's Pals, where people just send me yarn and candles and chocolate?
Er...I mean, Score! Your pal rocks! :)
